Caring and maintaining for your new Laminate Floor

Although your new floor is extremely hardwearing and is heat, stain and scratch resistant, it is still important to take proper care of your floor in order for it to last a lifetime.

In order for you to maintain the beauty of your floor, we recommend the following:

  1. Place a doormat at the exterior and interior entrances to prevent grit and moisture from being trapped in.
  2. Avoid sharp or pointed objects with concentrated weight.
  3. Use protective felt pads under furniture’s legs.
  4. Protect floors from castor wheels, unless they are rubber lined.

Routine cleaning of you floor.

  1. Use Kronokleen Laminate Floor cleaner with a micro fibre mop to keep floors looking and smelling fresh and clean.
  2. A damp cloth with Kronoclean or Stain Remover can be used for stubborn marks without damaging your floor.
  3. Dry floor afterwards with micro fibre mop, or a dry soft cloth.
  4. Do nop use Squeeze or Spaghetti type mops on the floor.
  5. Protect your floor against moisture eg. Potplant trays etc.
  6. A Laminate Sealer is available to apply to the floor. This seals the joints, and also provides a protective layer on the floor.
