Is laminate water resistant?
Laminate floor surfaces are resistant to spillages however water may seep between the boards, and if left for a long period of time could swell and warp.

Laminate flooring is a man made product, designed to replicate mainly wooden floors but also other floorcoverings such as stone tiles. Laminate floors are very durable due to the layers of the board being made to be as strong and as dense as possible, so it can perform as a very hardwearing floor.

Measuring your floor needn't be a complicated process, so don't be put off!

The majority of floor manufacturers as well as fitters recommend a minimum of 10% wastage when ordering a wooden or a tiled floor, this will hopefully allow for those small mistakes, wastages and complicated cuts. Sometimes on occasions there are small pieces that cannot be used anywhere without spoiling the look of the floor. If you however struggle to measure your floor, please make a rough sketch, and visit one of our showrooms, where a consultant will gladly assist you.

Although your new floor is extremely hardwearing and is heat, stain and scratch resistant, it is still important to take proper care of your floor in order for it to last a lifetime.
